June Fun with Pickles

Pickles had a pretty chill month in June until the end of it.

She got lots of time in the sunshine.

Rolled in bird poop and felt remorse for it.

Met a frog and was shocked by how jumpy they are.

Picked her favorite Grandma Esch blanket.

Figured out the best times of day to go out for some shade time.

Loved her daddy nap times.

Got brave and crawled under the patio sectional to see what was on the other side.

Then she got allergies.  Pickles has hayfever.  Last summer it was the same thing.  This summer we caught it before it turned to a full blown ear infection.  She has some ear drops and doggie allergy pills.  At first it made her so drowsy that she was almost comatose.  I found her in her kennel and she wasn't moving or responding to my calls.  Needless to say, I FREAKED out and screamed her name.  She blinked and I was relieved.  It was like she was sleeping with her eyes open.

Operation Fence the Yard is going to have to be put on hold until we can save more money.  It's crazy expensive!!  So we are taking her for more walks and to the dog park.  Matt convinced me to take her to the big dog side.  I never do for two reasons.  1.  I'm over protective.  2.  She never wants to leave and it's more difficult to grab her on the big side.  Well she did great over there.  She came when called, ran around, sniffed, and played.  Then she sniffed the wrong chihuahua who snapped at her twice.  The second time she walked over to the gate and sat down.  We took her over the to smaller yard.  The chihuahua's owner felt so bad!  There had been a hound that had been messing with her and gotten her agitated.  Pickles wasn't having it.  In a scary or dangerous situation and the choice is fight or flight, Pickles is flying.

I'm posting this on the 4th of July.  Any guesses where Pickles is?
