Friday Five #17

ONE
We had an impromptu sleepover Saturday night.  It was great!  Emma loves my old rocking chair.  More incentive for me to fix it up and give it to the kids.

We had a little movie time before bed.  See that little baby STILL up on the right?  That girl is all my brother - ready to party and doesn't want to miss a thing.

Jack thought it would be cool to sleep on Pickles' mat by the window.  He slept there all night and thought it was great.  Of course, Evalyn wanted to sleep near him.  I thought for sure they would have ended up on the couch or guest bed but they were there all night.  I checked on them a couple times in the night and they were there the whole time.

Evalyn helped make scrambled eggs in the morning.  She's such a big girl!  She'll be 5 on Sunday.  I can't believe it.

The girls were playing hide and seek.  Pretty sweet hiding spot, huh?  Emma thought it was super fun to hang out in there.  She was not happy with me when I took her out and locked the door so she couldn't go back in there.  She went down for a nap shortly after that.

They were really hoping their new baby sister was ready to come, but she's hanging on for a bit longer.  It was touch and go there for a while.

TWO

We are thankful to have great neighbors.  Matt went across the street Saturday night after 9pm to see if they had a pack and play so Emma would go to sleep.  Exhaustion never kicked in and just when we thought she was asleep she'd pop her head up ready for the next adventure.  They brought it over and set it up.  We put her in it at 9:30 and she was fast asleep by 9:35.

THREE
We went to Restore to look for a few things and came away with these nightstands that cost $15.   Total for both of them.   They are even nice enough that we don't HAVE to paint them.

FOUR

I finished my flamingo pillow!

FIVE

Our street is separated from the rest of the subdivision.  We really could be our own little neighborhood.  We love it!  One of the people that live kind of in the middle of our street threw a neighborhood block party last Sunday.  It was really fun.  We were the only ones from our end of the street, but that's okay.  We met some great people.  I try to be intentional about walking Pickles on our street so I can meet people and say hi and they'll recognize us in the neighborhood.  It was funny how many people knew us by our dog. We didn't take her with us but when Matt would show a photo they'd say the knew who we were.
