May the Force Be With You Dog Treats

I’m a little crazy for our dog-child, Pickles.  We both are.  She’s our girl and I want to give our girl the best.  So, what does a dog-mom who wants to eat as cleanly as possible do?  She makes her own whole wheat dog treats!

I used our Star Wars cookie cutters for the big ones and a little heart for smaller treats.

Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Ingredients:

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 cup natural peanut butter

1/2 cup milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.  Add the peanut butter and milk then mix well.  Knead dough on a floured surface, roll, and cut with a cookie cutter.  Bake on a lightly greased baking sheet for 18-20 minutes, until lightly browned.  Let cool and see what your dog thinks.  Store in an air tight container. Mine have lasted a month.
